This tournament has sold out. Feel free to keep an eye on the competitor list, because if the number of competitors drops below 915, that means a spot has opened up. You may need to be on a desktop to see the number of competitors registered. This option to register closes on the registration close date listed below.

Our year end event - the 6th and final Dream Kids tournament of 2023!

This is event is open to ALL kids gi competitors - you do not need to qualify to compete in this event.

For the past 6 years of Dream Kids tournaments, every event has sold out within 11 hours to 4 weeks of opening registration. Always register as early as possible for any Dream tournaments to secure your child's spot!

  • Gi Tournament
    Double Elimination
    Ages: 4-15
    Belts: White - Green belts

    **In order to form a division, keep teammates separate, or avoid 2 person divisions - groups may include competitors within one year (younger or older) of each other.

  • Competitors may weigh in as soon as doors open at 8:15am, and must be weighed in at least one hour before their division is scheduled to start.

    Please weigh your child before the registration correction deadline to ensure he or she is in the correct division.

    • All weigh ins are WITHOUT the gi.

    • There is no weight allowance.

    • Competitors CANNOT weigh in shirtless or only wearing underwear.

    • Drastic weight cutting methods are extremely discouraged.

    • Competitors are not moved down in weight on the day of the competition, even if they are under the weight limit for the lower division.

    Please keep all of these factors in mind when choosing a weight class for your child.

  • Sunday, October 15 will be the LAST day to submit any registration changes. After this date, there will be no more changes or credits. No exceptions.

    Registration corrections can be made within your Smoothcomp account once you are registered, or by emailing dreambjj@gmail.com with your child’s full name and the correction.

  • We do not issue refunds. If a competitor needs to withdraw from the tournament for any reason until the correction deadline (October 15) - we can remove the competitor and issue a credit for the full amount paid that can be used for any future Dream tournament.

    **Please keep in mind that once competitors are removed from an event, there are no guarantees that they can be added back in if the event is sold out.**

  • Nightmare Before Christmas!

    Every competitor will receive a complimentary themed shirt and poster that can be picked up at the Prize Table at the event.

  • Registration includes one FREE spectator per competitor.

    Other spectators are $10 per person at the entrance via cash, venmo, or credit card.

  • Our policy is 1 coach wristband per every 6 competitors from that same academy. This is to help prevent overcrowding inside the competition area. Additional coaches can easily coach from outside the barricades.

    Parents do not count as coaches. Coach names will only be added if they are representing the entire team/academy.

    Coach names need to be sent to us by 11:00AM on Saturday, October 21. If we do not receive an email with the coach name(s), there may not be a coach wristband available for your academy. If we receive multiple coach names for your academy, we will confirm the correct coaches.

    NOTE: A new coach list needs to be submitted for each event. This is because sometimes coach availability changes, the number of coach wristbands a team gets each time may change, etc.

PENALTIES FOR MISSING WEIGHT

Instead of DQing competitors who miss weight, we will attempt to find a new bracket for them, but a match is not guaranteed.

Competitors who miss weight may forfeit any possible team points should they place in any other division.

Because it is the responsibility of the parent to check the competitor list and ensure they signed their child up for the correct division, we will not grant credits nor refunds if your child misses weight and is unable to find a match.

There is no weight allowance. For example, if the division is Up to 80.9lbs, then a competitor weighing in at 81.0lbs would miss weight.
